“Conflict Resolution Day” is observed each October by peace practitioners raising awareness in their home communities of alternatives to violence, oppression, and coercion.

This year, the Center for Community Dialogue & Training and the Loft Cinema present a Film-Dialogue Event on Thursday, Oct. 28, that examines some of the many ways we humans create and respond to daily conflicts.

Join us online from 6PM-8:30PM AZ for several short films (the longest is 12 minutes) whose themes relate to broader societal conflicts such as microaggressions, bias and instinctive violence. Each film is followed by small, facilitated Dialogue Circles where participants safely and respectfully share thoughts and feelings (you may pass if you like). The goal is not to solve problems, but to raise personal awareness by considering your own and others’ perspectives.

Do you love short films and meaningful discussion? Would you like to be part of this peacemaker effort? Communication creates transformation! Please join us for this fun, free event.
