INFORMATION AND REFERRAL
For more than 55 years, Arizona families and human service workers have relied on Information & Referral. Through the I&R directory, 2-1-1 helpline, and website, anyone in our community can easily connect with thousands of available resources.
Information & Referral, which became a program of Our Family Services in 2008, collects and updates information on community services in the six Southern Arizona counties of Cochise, Graham, Greenlee, Pima, Santa Cruz and Yuma.
I&R works in partnership with Crisis Response Network 2-1-1 Arizona, which collects the information for the rest of the state and operates the 2-1-1 helpline now answering calls from all of Arizona.
Together, these two agencies maintain a free, searchable online database of thousands of health and human services across Arizona. Services such as domestic violence shelters, emergency shelter, GED preparation, parenting classes, assistive technology, utilities assistance, food boxes, medical care, jobs training, childcare, legal aid, and counseling.
Below are four ways to find services.
1. Dial 2-1-1 within Arizona
Call between 8am and 8pm for information about the COVID-19 epidemic and preventing the spread of this disease, testing information, and what to do if you think you have it.
Call anytime to listen to recorded information about community resources that are most often asked for.
On July 1, 2020, the 2-1-1 helpline will return to live answer all day, every day.
2. Search the online database
2-1-1 Arizona is a statewide database of community resources. Go to the website, choose your county on the left, and select a service from the most commonly requested categories.
The 2020 edition of the Directory of Community Resources for Pima County is now available for purchase for $45. Come to our office at 3830 E. Bellevue St. or purchase a directory online.
4. Welcome to our new eLibrary!
Below is the beginning of a collection of papers on a variety of health and human service topics. Each paper in the eLibrary will give a quick overview of the subject and include links to the 2-1-1 Arizona database of community services and other resources.
