INFORMATION AND REFERRAL
For more than 55 years, Arizona families and human service workers have relied on Information & Referral. Through the I&R directory, 2-1-1 helpline, and website, anyone in our community can easily connect with thousands of available resources.
2-1-1 Arizona
The 2-1-1 Arizona Information and Referral Services program was founded in 1964 as Community Information and Referral Services and incorporated as a private, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization in 1979. Solari Crisis & Human Services operates the program after acquiring it in 2017.
2-1-1 Arizona Information and Referral Service operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week and every day of the year. Live-operator service is available at all times in English and Spanish and assistance is available in other languages via real-time interpreter services.
2-1-1 Arizona operators will help individuals and families find resources that are available to them locally, throughout the state, and provide connections to critical services that can improve – and save – lives, including:
- Supplemental Food and Nutrition Programs
- Shelter and Housing Options
- Utilities Assistance
- Emergency Information and Disaster Relief
- Employment and Education Opportunities
- Services for Veterans
- Healthcare, vaccination and health epidemic information
- Addiction Prevention and Rehabilitation Programs
- Re-entry help for ex-offenders
- Support groups for individuals with mental illnesses or special needs
- A safe, confidential path out of physical and/or emotional domestic violence
Find Services
Below are three ways to find services.
1. Dial 2-1-1 within Arizona
The 2-1-1 helpline has returned to live answer all day, every day.
Call to speak to an information specialist for referrals to organizations that help with health care, food boxes, legal assistance, GED classes, domestic violence shelters, substance abuse, assistive technology, computer classes, support groups, counseling, parenting classes, donation pick-ups, volunteer opportunities, animal services, and much more.
Call anytime to listen to recorded information about community resources that are most often asked for.
2. Search the online database
2-1-1 Arizona is a statewide database of community resources. Go to the website, choose your county on the left, and select a service from the most commonly requested categories.
Add your organization to the resource database
3. Purchase a Directory
The 2022 edition of the Directory of Community Resources for Pima County is now available for purchase for $40. Come to our office at 2590 N Alvernon Way or purchase a directory online.
