Seeking the prevalence and characteristics of homeless youth ages 12-24 in Pima County, Our Family Services teamed up with the Tucson Pima Collaboration to End Homelessness (TPCH) Youth Action Committee and Homeless Youth Subcommittee and local researchers and housing experts at LeCroy & Milligan Associates and OrgCode Consulting to conduct an in-depth assessment of the status of youth homelessness.

The research shows tremendous need for additional housing, particularly emergency shelter and rapid re-housing services designed for and targeted to youth, and lays out a multi-year plan to prevent and end youth homelessness in the region.

We would like to thank TPCH and the dozens of local youth-serving organizations, education agencies, employment resources, health and behavioral healthcare providers, government entities, and community members who contributed to this effort.

Most importantly, we wish to thank the extraordinary youth and young adults experiencing homelessness and housing instability who shared their experiences with us.

Together, we can end youth homelessness.
