Each night Our Family provides housing to over 549 people through our shelter, eviction prevention, rapid rehousing, transitional housing and permanent supportive housing programs. We not only provide assistance with rent but also wraparound services that assist our clients in stabilizing and maintaining housing, services that include help looking for jobs, creating a budget, connecting to health insurance and mainstream benefits like childcare and food assistance.

Oftentimes clients write letters expressing their appreciation to their case managers. We are proud to share one such letter, written to case manager Nancy Larison, with you.

Hello Nancy. I wanted to update you and take this moment to express my gratitude.

Thank you so much for your help. All of this has been so surreal for myself and at times I feel as if I am living in an alternate reality. But this is a good thing. I never saw myself with my own place, especially coming from my family history of drug abusers.

I am now cooking my own meals and sleeping in my own bed. This is awesome!

The Apartment is very nice! And I do not know how to express my thanks for this besides writing you.

I want you to know that you made a difference in my life and that I am using this time I have to become independent. I am on the road to getting my first real job and it will be at Goodwill. They have interviewed me and now I only need to do Tax Paper work and training.

I feel as if I have control over my future for the first time in my life. And my first step is getting hired so I can support myself. Now, I have a chance to do this. And the sooner I start working, the more money I can save until September.

Thank you so much for this opportunity. I am going to succeed. I just need to put in the work!
