This advanced mediation course prepares mediators to neutrally assist families who are struggling with the difficult process of planning for the care of a parent or other beloved elder.
You will learn specialized methods to address issues such as:
- family dynamics that impair communication
- the aging process and its possible impact on mediation
- health care, living arrangements and financial issues
- ways to accommodate cognitive impairment or other challenges.
Completion of this course is required to facilitate Eldercare mediations for the Center for Community Dialogue & Training.
Pre-requisite: Completion of a basic mediation course or equivalent mediation experience.
Training Dates:
Tuesday – Thursday, April 2 – 4, 2019
8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. each day
Note: You must attend all three days to receive your certificate.
Training Refund Policy:
Cancellation up to 3 days before the training: Receives a 90% refund (10% Administration Fee).
Cancellation 3 days prior to the training: Receives a 50% refund; or you may transfer to the next workshop; or find a replacement to take your place.
No shows the day of workshop: Forfeit fee.
