Volunteering & Internships

Volunteers who give their time and talents are an integral part of Our Family – from volunteer community mediators who help their neighbors resolve their disagreements, to seniors who help other seniors reduce the loneliness in their lives. Counseling and case-management interns earn school credit and gain valuable experience in our programs working with young people, families or seniors, and opportunities are available for people who speak Spanish.

Please be advised that interns who work with children are required to go through the same intake process as employees, which includes:

Obtaining pre-internship drug testing for $20.
Obtaining a TB test (about $12+.)
Obtaining a fingerprint clearance in accordance with the laws of the State of Arizona. (If you don’t have a current fingerprint card, a $65 fee will cover the cost of the clearance card, which you will keep.
Completion of our four-day CORE training curriculum.
Completion of the Volunteer Application form.
